We’re looking for a collaborative go-getter who gets excited about winning as a team and helping others succeed. You will be part of our small AMER Deal Desk team under the Finance organization. This means you’ll have the opportunity to help create the groundwork for the future success of the team. The Deal Desk works closely with partners in Sales, Revenue Accounting, Legal, and Sales Operations to close deals that are good for both Asana and our customers. We are experts on our internal processes and requirements and advisors to the sales team on their deals, both from a process and a negotiation perspective. It is our responsibility to relay information and educate our partners on those processes as well as the specific deals we are involved with. We are obsessed with process improvement in order to help Asana continue to grow, scale, and succeed.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve

  • Own the relationship with several sales teams as the primary point person for deal-related questions.

  • Educate the sales team on internal processes and deal negotiation strategies.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead projects that help Asana scale effectively.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with partner teams, acting as a trusted advisor to identify where support is needed in a deal.

About you

  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

  • 4+ years of experience in a deal desk, finance, contracts, sales operations, or revenue role.

  • Ability to think strategically when designing deals to create customized solutions that fit customer needs and maximize revenue.

  • Strong process-oriented mindset with a track record of identifying and executing workflow improvements.

  • Deep business acumen and strong understanding of the end-to-end sales lifecycle.

  • Collaborative team player willing to drive deals across the finish line, particularly during month-end and quarter-end crunch periods.

  • Experience implementing AI tools in a commercial workflow is a plus.

  • Experience in the Software/SaaS industry, using CPQ tools, or applying revenue recognition principles and US GAAP is preferred.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $164,000 - $186,000.
