Are you ready to take on an exciting opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer for a global messaging platform? If you have experience in developing high-performance, reliable, and globally distributed services, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a talented individual to join our Engineering team in Singapore and play a key role in the design, development, and evolution of our core messaging platform.

Our ideal candidate is a professional with hands‑on experience with high-throughput, scalable, distributed systems in production, who can demonstrate excellent organization, strong problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to expand our platform by designing and developing new RESTful APIs and backend microservices. You will also have the chance to optimize and improve the performance of the platform, ensuring the highest quality with unit tests, and participating in integration test design. Collaboration with the product team on requirements is also a key part of this role.

Experience

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.

• Expert knowledge of .NET Core and C#.

• Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in multi-threaded application development and async programming.

• Experience with queue engines like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with software engineering best practices (unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD).

• Hands‑on experience utilizing cloud platforms to develop scalable and reliable applications, leveraging the power of cloud services for enhanced performance and flexibility.

• A team player who thrives in cross‑functional environments, collaborating closely with product team, and stakeholders.

• Strong communicator who proactively drives alignment between engineering and business teams.

Bonus points

• Hands‑on experience with highly loaded, mission‑critical, scalable distributed systems in production, experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), or experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Istio (or any other service mesh) in production.

• Exposure to the communications or messaging domains is also an advantage.

• Experience leveraging AI tools and frameworks (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or LLM APIs) to accelerate software delivery. Candidates who have designed or built AI agents — whether for workflow automation, developer productivity, or customer‑facing features — are strongly preferred.

Qualification

Written and verbal fluency in English is required.
