Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet—on land, at sea, and in flight.</p> <p>We are seeking an Automation Engineer to lead, build, and create an automation infrastructure for our software. In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team to maintain high-quality products throughout their lifecycle while gaining hands-on experience with cloud technologies and complex system testing. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our products.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend, UI, and API components to ensure comprehensive test coverage.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.</li> <li>Work closely with development team members to identify test scenarios, perform manual testing, and automate them effectively.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and debug automation code to ensure reliable test execution and accurate results.</li> <li>Continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and reliability through optimization of automation frameworks and processes.</li> <li>Mentor team members on automation best practices and provide technical support as needed.</li> <li>Drive and support a zero-bug approach.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <h4>Education</h4> <ul> <li>BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Equivalent experience may be considered, including IDF courses or equivalent bootcamp programs.</li> </ul> <h4>Experience</h4> <ul> <li>A minimum of 7 years of automation testing experience.</li> <li>Proven experience in automating tests for backend, UI, and API layers using programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and frameworks such as Cucumber or other BDD frameworks.</li> <li>Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, preferably within CI/CD pipelines.</li> </ul> <h4>Preferred Qualifications</h4> <ul> <li>Experience mentoring team members and providing technical guidance on automation best practices.</li> <li>Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.</li> <li>Experience working with Linux.</li> </ul> <h4>Soft Skills</h4> <ul> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in automated tests across different layers.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements and technology stacks.</li> <li>Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to enhancing automation frameworks and processes.</li> </ul> <h3>Technology Stack</h3> <ul> <li>Java</li> <li>C#</li> <li>Python</li> <li>Cucumber and other BDD frameworks</li> <li>Selenium</li> <li>Cypress</li> <li>Postman</li> <li>CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Docker</li> <li>Kubernetes</li> <li>Linux</li> </ul> <h3>Physical Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.</li> </ul> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>AST SpaceMobile is an Equal Opportunity, at will Employer; employment is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.</p></div>
