Metroll Laverton is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join our team and manage customer growth across Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs.

About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing an established customer portfolio while developing new business opportunities across Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs.
You will spend your time building relationships with builders, contractors, fabricators, and trade customers, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that support their projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow customer relationships across Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and building sectors
- Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong market presence
- Build relationships with builders, contractors, developers, and trade customers
- Provide product advice and tailored solutions to meet customer requirements
- Prepare quotes, follow up opportunities, and manage the sales process through to completion
- Work closely with internal sales, production, and operations teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Achieve sales targets while contributing to branch growth
About You
You are a proactive and relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys being out in the market and building long-term partnerships.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development
- Experience within building products, steel, roofing, construction, manufacturing, or trade industries is highly regarded
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sales outcomes
- Confidence managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage your own territory
- A customer-first approach with a focus on delivering solutions
- Current Australian driver’s licence
