
Fire Safety Lead
We're currently recruiting an experienced Fire Safety Lead to join our Compliance team! Leading our fire safety strategy, you'll provide expert leadership to ensure our customers' homes remain safe, compliant and effectively managed through robust risk management, statutory compliance and effective programme delivery.

Duties include:
- Lead the delivery of fire safety across relevant properties, ensuring services are compliant, well governed and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Manage fire safety programmes, contracts and specialist consultants to ensure works are delivered safely, effectively and to the required standard.
- Oversee the identification, assessment and management of fire safety risks, with a clear focus on prevention, control and assurance.
- Ensure robust processes are in place to identify and resolve non-compliance quickly.
- Support the Head of Compliance to develop the service, strengthen assurance and embed a proactive property safety culture.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, regulators, partners and other stakeholders to support effective fire safety delivery.
- Provide specialist fire safety advice and support to compliance, asset and investment colleagues across the business.
- Produce accurate and timely fire safety compliance reporting for monthly, quarterly and governance requirements.
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture where achievements are recognised and continuous improvement is expected.
- Level 5 qualification in fire safety management, or equivalent relevant experience and qualification.
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, or a similar relevant professional body.
- Proven experience of leading a fire safety or compliance team and delivering statutory compliance responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Strong understanding of fire risk assessment, fire door inspection, building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
- Experience of working within social housing or with higher-risk residential buildings, including high-rise homes.
- Experience of leading teams, contractors or specialist consultants to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of compliance assurance, risk control, incident management and governance in a housing or property setting.
- Good knowledge of building maintenance and repairs operations, and their impact on compliance and resident safety.
- Full driving licence and own vehicle as you'll be expected to go out to site weekly.
- Right to Work in the UK - Visa Sponsorship is not available
- A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
- Salary of £64,009 per year + £1,000 essential car user allowance
