This role is perfect for those looking to gain unique experience in the Sports & Entertainment Industry and be part of ensuring the overwhelming success of the Saskatchewan Roughriders ticketing department. Outbound sales have been called an art, and this is an opportunity to learn from the best and utilize learnings by selling right in the heartland of the CFL.

This role will be focused on not only creating prospects and sales leads, but more importantly converting them to sales, and in turn fans. The successful candidate will harness their talents to generate and drive ticket sales via outbound campaigns. Sales efforts will be focused on season ticket retention, group tickets, and specialty offerings and packages.

Working collaboratively in a team-based environment, this role will also support the overall Ticket Operations team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outbound sales calling to generate and drive ticketing sales primarily in the consumer market
  • Create and build relationships with new Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) prospects as well as generate new B2C and B2B leads.
  • Provide consistent, high-level experience to all clients.
  • Consistent outbound prospecting via phone, email and other technologies
  • Answer all inbound sales calls and assist clients as needed
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell to maximize ticket sales
  • Maintain a detailed touchpoint history in the database by logging all customer data and interactions in a clear, timely manner
  • Stay up to date with all products, pricing, and benefits
  • Exceed sales and revenue targets
  • Work in conjunction with the entire Ticket Operations team to uphold the mandates of the department regarding sales and service goals and objectives

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated outbound sales experience and/or a post-secondary study in business, administration, or sports management.
  • A strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience and well as a solid understanding of how key customers and clients are to the success of the business.
  • A determination to create new solutions or continually be creative to find new leads or brainstorm new approaches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proven skill in juggling multiple priorities and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • General business knowledge with a basic understanding of Saskatchewan Roughrider products and services.
  • Willingness to be coached, with an appetite to learn and get better every day.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required, including all home games. Additionally, the availability to work longer hours during the season, especially home game days or days leading up to a home game.
