Senior Copywriter (Freelance)

We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.</em></p> <p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p> <p>As a Senior Copywriter, you will join our global Copy Team made up of almost 60 people around the world. You will write for all digital channels, providing on-brand website copy that drives clicks and engagement.</p> <p>You will provide voice and tone expertise, acting as the brand guardian for this workstream. You will work closely with account managers and the client to deliver brand-affirming, high-quality content that resonates with the customer.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role requires a genuine passion for editing and giving critical feedback. You will be expected to uphold our clients' creative standards, while continuing to push new ideas and embody DEPT®’s entrepreneurial spirit.</p> <ul> <li>Create clear, effective, and original copy and content for our clients onsite marketing</li> <li>Write content for various channels</li> <li>Provide clear, effective feedback</li> <li>Give directional brand and tone of voice guidance&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish, strengthen, and uphold copy standards</li> <li>Establish processes and policies to maximise efficiency&nbsp;</li> <li>Deliver creative ideas confidently both internally and externally</li> <li>Offer strategic messaging&nbsp; insights on creative campaigns</li> <li>Research competitors and trends for creative inspiration</li> <li>Facilitate creative brainstorms and other necessary meetings&nbsp;</li> <li>Exhibit leadership and professionalism across all interactions</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience as a copywriter is a must, and a background in agency or brand is preferred</li> <li>Experience editing content and giving feedback is necessary</li> <li>Experience in the e-commerce/retail environment a plus</li> <li>Experience delivering and receiving feedback in English is necessary&nbsp;</li> <li>Translation and/or transcreation experience a plus&nbsp;</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of multi-channel digital copy and brand development a big plus</li> <li>Understanding of social media content best practices and trends preferred&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to deliver compelling marketing and content copy that sells is essential</li> <li>Confidence working with other departments and stakeholders such as designers, developers, and clients is essential&nbsp;</li> <li>Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with many assets</li> <li>An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey</li> <li>Ability to present work to large groups and communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically</li> <li>A collaborative approach to getting things done</li> <li>Native-level or C1 German and excellent English skills, both written and spoken.</li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><strong>AI Disclosure</strong>: At DEPT®, we use AI-assisted technology (Metaview) to capture notes and summarize interview conversations, so our interviewers can stay fully focused.
