What's so exciting about this role?

As a Senior Graphic Designer within our New Zealand Marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end creative delivery for our portfolio of credit card and consumer finance products including Q Mastercard, Q Card, Flight Centre Mastercard, and our Farmers cards. From research and concept development through to design execution and deployment, you'll play a key role in creating impactful, relevant, on-brand campaigns and content across multiple channels.

This is a chance to bring bold ideas to life, create work that cuts through in a busy market, and help shape memorable customer experiences, all while maintaining brand excellence and consistency. If you're passionate about great design, committed to your craft, and excited by the opportunity to push creative boundaries, this role offers both influence and variety.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team, our agency partners, and key stakeholders to interpret creative briefs and develop compelling, relevant marketing collateral within brand guidelines and agreed timelines.
  • Design and create high-quality visual assets across multiple channels, including print, digital, social, email, website, point of sale, direct mail, and motion/animated content.
  • Ensure consistency of creative execution across all campaign and communication elements, maintaining strong brand continuity and high design standards.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from concept development through to artwork preparation, production, and deployment across print and digital platforms.
  • Partner with agency partners, cross-functional teams, and external suppliers to deliver creative solutions that meet business needs, timelines, and budgets.
  • Contribute creative ideas, design expertise, and process improvements, while staying up to date with emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices.

Who will thrive in this role?

You're a highly creative and versatile designer who combines strong graphic design fundamentals with animation expertise. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, you're able to take ownership of projects, work autonomously, and deliver exceptional creative outcomes from concept to completion.

  • Proven experience creating engaging motion graphics, animation, and video content, with advanced proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • A highly self-sufficient designer with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and consistently deliver high-quality work to deadline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a graphic design role, supported by a relevant design qualification and a strong portfolio showcasing creativity, innovation, and diverse design capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of branding, customer experience (CX), UI principles, print and digital production, with the ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • A collaborative and proactive team player with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
