Our Mission

The Role

As our Maintenance Electrician - Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm), you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing plant running safely and compliantly. You'll complete maintenance work orders on time, in full, and to the required quality, safety and environmental standards, in line with production schedules and machine reliability procedures - and help build the asset care and frontline teams' capability in basic autonomous maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support and back up the Asset Care Supervisor as required
• Troubleshoot machinery across the manufacturing process, complying with Australian electrical standards and statutory regulations
• Deliver electrical reactive and preventative maintenance, keeping ERP/CMMS records accurate and up to date
• Drive compliance with the asset care/preventative maintenance schedule, including HACCP and other Lyka quality requirements for raw materials, WIP and finished goods
• Monitor and safely dispose of process waste from maintenance activities
• Maintain a high standard of work environment in line with SHEQ standards
• Coordinate with and learn from OEMs, trades and contractors as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support a cohesive, flexible, goal-focused culture aligned with Lyka's values

• Trade qualified as an Electrician and Licensed to A Grade in Victoria
• 2+ years' maintenance experience outside of a recognised apprenticeship, in an automated food processing environment
• Experience with modern automated production sites including utilities and building assets such as refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors and trade waste systems
• Experience in ERP systems (eg shop floor control functions), and with ISO Quality Systems, HACCP and GMP environments will be an advantage
• Experience embedding a preventative maintenance program (FMECA or similar) highly desirable
• IT skills and ability to analyse data
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external clients
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong organisational and prioritisation skills; comfortable dealing with emergencies and troubleshooting / remaining calm under pressure
• A degree of flexibility regarding working hours, including working hours in response to emergencies
• Self-motivated and reliable team player; a high level of commitment and passion, particularly with regards to human safety, food safety, and customer service
• Must have Australian working rights, and be residing in Australia
