About us

We’re the team behind digital retailer Very

If you love making a difference, you’ll love making it sparkle for millions of Very customers. ✨

About the Role

You’ll be a hands-on senior engineer at the heart of our data transformation. You won’t just deliver pipelines. You’ll shape how we build them, how we scale them and how we make them better.

The impact is real. Better data means better customer experiences, faster decisions and stronger performance across Very.

We’re transforming how data powers Very. This isn’t about maintaining what already exists. It’s about building what comes next.

We’re modernising our entire data platform with cloud-first technology, and you’ll play a key role in shaping it. From improving how we serve millions of customers to enabling smarter decisions across the business, your work will directly influence how Very grows and competes.

  • Supporting releases and ensuring everything we ship is stable and observable
  • Raising engineering standards through code reviews, reusable patterns and best practice
  • Coaching and mentoring other engineers, helping them grow and succeed
  • Collaborating with product, platform and engineering teams to deliver meaningful outcomes
  • Contributing to technical decisions that improve scalability, reliability and speed
