Sony Music's Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) Team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in our King’s Cross office (London). Your work will power technology that supports our artists and record labels worldwide. As a Software Engineer with PDEGO: <h2>What you'll do:</h2> <ul> <li>Work with a cross-functional team to build products that empower artists and record labels across the globe</li> <li>Contribute to all tiers of our architecture to produce high quality, robust user experiences</li> <li>Write clean, tested, maintainable code</li> <li>Work closely with product management to understand client requirements</li> <li>Participate in re-architecture, refinement and technical design of various systems</li> </ul> <h2>Who you are:</h2> <ul> <li>We’re seeking a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the following areas:</li> <li>Experience working with distributed systems and scalable solutions.</li> <li>Proficiency in a scripting languages (such as Python, Javascript/Typescript) and React.</li> <li>Experience with working with GraphQL and Rest APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.</li> <li>Familiar with the software development lifecycle and best practices.</li> <li>Experience with microservices, APIs, and related standards such as REST and HTTP.</li> <li>Comfortable with AWS Cloud technologies and cloud-native data services.</li> <li>Experience writing unit and integration tests.</li> <li>Experience working in an agile team.</li> </ul>   <h2>What we give you:</h2> <ul> <li>You join a vibrant global community with the opportunity to channel your passion every day </li> <li>A modern office environment designed for you, empowering you to bring your best </li> <li>Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community </li> <li>The space to accelerate progress, positively disrupt and create what happens next </li> <li>We give you the platform to champion positive change, with the opportunity to contribute to our social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives </li> <li>We provide an excellent range of benefits like private medical cover, a generous pension scheme, life assurance, income protection, plus loads of music industry perks.
