
Social Media Manager
We are Two Circles. We are a Sports & Entertainment Marketing business. We grow audiences and revenues. We do that by knowing fans best. We work with clients to help them understand & influence what their fans are doing – the way fans spend their money, the events that fans attend, the channels fans respond to, the content fans watch and more. And we use the understanding this gives us to help our clients grow. Grow their audiences and grow their revenues - both direct to consumer and business to business revenues.
Our platforms and services are trusted by over 900 clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL, Nike and Amazon. We are over 1000 people, based out of 14 offices, and we deliver work for sports and entertainment businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world.
Role Profile
We are looking for a Social Media Manager with a passion for football, football culture and storytelling to work across content and social media output for a major football property. This role sits within Two Circles’ ever-expanding Content capability, planning, producing and publishing content to huge social media platforms. The chosen candidate should have an instinctive understanding of football culture, know what drives conversation among supporters and thrive in fast-paced, live environments where speed, creativity and accuracy are essential.
Responsibilities
- Execute real-time and planned social media output across flagship football accounts, both during and outside of live matches.
- Own day-to-day channel management, community management and publishing.
- Develop engaging, social-first content that reflects football culture and delivers against client objectives.
- Generate creative ideas and reactive content that capitalise on football news, matchdays and cultural moments.
- Produce high-quality short-form video edits and templated graphics for social.
- Collaborate daily with internal creative, production and strategy teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Briefing and overseeing production of short and long-form video, bespoke planned and reactive graphics.
- Build strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders including clubs, leagues, broadcasters and commercial partners.
- Manage multiple social accounts simultaneously, adapting tone of voice and content style for different brands.
- Ensure all content is delivered to a high standard, on time and optimised for engagement and platform best practice.
- Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to support live football coverage.
- A social media native with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Premier League football and an instinctive understanding of its clubs, players, rivalries, narratives and fan culture.
- Proven experience managing social media channels for sports, football clubs, brands, broadcasters or rights holders.
- Strong understanding of platform best practice across IG, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences and brands.
- Confident creating engaging content under pressure in live sporting environments.
- Strong creative judgement and the ability to identify stories and trends that will resonate with football audiences.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, video clipping tools and ideally Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with the football calendar.
