Who We Are

Ultimate Performance is the global leader in personal training, with world-class studios spanning the globe from Sydney to Los Angeles. We have built our reputation on delivering exceptional results for our clients through science-backed training, nutrition and coaching.

We're now entering one of the most exciting chapters in our history. Following our Private Equity acquisition in 2024, we're scaling rapidly and investing in the people, systems and processes that will support our next phase of global growth. With a strengthened leadership team, a major rebrand launching in January 2026 and significant investment across the business, the momentum is real.

We are looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to join our growing Finance team.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Management Accounts team, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, while also supporting the wider Group Finance function with analysis, forecasting, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the Finance team operates efficiently and consistently across the Group. Alongside maintaining high standards of financial control and reporting, you will be expected to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and encourage a culture where the team continually looks for better and more efficient ways of working.

What You’ll Do

  • Leading, mentoring and developing the Management Accounts team, creating a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Setting clear objectives, managing workloads and priorities, and supporting the professional development of team members.
  • Overseeing the month-end process and ensuring management accounts are delivered accurately and to deadline.
  • Supporting the preparation of consolidated Group Accounts at Topco level.
  • Contributing to the monthly Board reporting process, providing meaningful financial analysis and commentary.
  • Coordinating monthly reporting for our private equity investors, ensuring information is accurate, timely and aligned with expectations.
  • Managing monthly and quarterly financial reporting to external debt providers, including monitoring financial performance, cash flow and covenant compliance.
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director on reporting, analysis and ad-hoc projects.
  • Driving continuous improvement across the Finance function by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Overseeing intercompany reconciliations and settlements across the Group.
  • Supporting capex analysis and forecasting, working closely with the Head of Property.
  • Monitoring exceptional items and providing clear analysis and transparency around non-recurring transactions.
  • Working with the Financial Controller on cash management and allocation across entities.
  • Reviewing costs and financial performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.

What we’re looking for

This role would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining technical finance expertise with leadership and commercial responsibility.

You will be highly organised, diligent and comfortable working to tight deadlines. You will thrive in an environment where priorities can move quickly and where the Finance function is expected to support an ambitious and growing business.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related subject.
  • Is ideally qualified as an ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
  • Has previous experience working within a finance team in a management or team leadership capacity.
  • Has strong experience across management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Is confident reviewing and challenging financial information.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in delivering accurate work.
  • Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Can communicate financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
  • Is proactive and naturally looks for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Has the confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively.
  • Enjoys developing people and getting the best from a team.
  • Has the drive and ambition to support the continued growth of the business.
