For over 35 years, ICMP has been at the forefront of contemporary music education, offering personalised, industry-focused training to help students thrive in the competitive music industry. ICMP delivers innovative undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including specialisations in Electronic Music Production, Live Event Management, and Music Marketing. 

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced educators and practitioners to join our campus academic teams as Senior Lecturers. 

Senior Lecturers combine teaching excellence and subject specialism with academic leadership, by supporting programme delivery, curriculum development, student success and the wider academic community. The role is suitable for experienced higher education educators who enjoy teaching alongside module leadership, mentoring colleagues and contributing to programme enhancement. 

The Role

Senior Lecturers contribute across five core areas of academic activity: 

Teaching 

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 
  • Create inclusive, industry-informed learning experiences. 
  • Design learning activities that connect professional practice with higher education. 

Module Leadership 

  • Lead designated modules. 
  • Coordinate teaching teams. 
  • Maintain module quality and consistency. 
  • Develop learning resources and assessment materials. 

Assessment 

  • Design and deliver assessments. 
  • Mark and moderate student work. 
  • Provide timely, developmental feedback. 
  • Support assessment boards and quality assurance processes. 

Student Support 

  • Meet with students to provide support and guidance. 
  • Support student progression, engagement and success. 
  • Work collaboratively with Student Services and Programme Leaders. 

Academic Leadership 

  • Attend programme meetings. 
  • Contribute to curriculum development. 
  • Support recruitment through auditions and Open Days. 
  • Supervise, mentor and support an agreed allocation of lecturers. 
  • Contribute to wider academic projects and institutional initiatives. 

Remuneration 

This role can be carried out on a ZHC or a fixed term, fractional contract.  

For ZHC Senior Lecturers, work will be agreed and allocated by the relevant Programme Leader and will be aligned through the ADE Academic Work Tariff. This tariff includes a combination of teaching, module leadership, assessment/marking, meeting and pastoral support, programme meetings and administration.
