Locum Senior Research Sonographer
Mission
Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.
In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with clinical guidelines and best practices with focus on breast ultrasound
Pass on the study-specific acquisition and interpretation qualification task before performing study scans, with certificate filed in the investigational site file.
Independently interpret and report ultrasound findings, ensuring timely delivery of results that are uploaded to a standardised electronic case report form.
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary research team to help deliver Neko’s clinical trial focused on better understanding risks of breast cancer.
Adherence to the study acquisition SOP
Equipment QA maintenance logged on-site. Liaise directly with the study PI and research team where needed.

Documented, current breast ultrasound practice, with a minimum of two years’ full-time-equivalent breast scanning.
Advanced radiographic experience of reporting autonomously within the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) or an equivalent quality-assurance framework.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to study participants.
Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Preferred
Experience with previous ultrasound scanning as part of clinical trials
Experience with shear-wave elastography acquisition and reporting.
Experience with Philips US machines, and decision support software
Familiarity with data entry as part of clinical research studies.
About titles at Neko
We use a simplified internal title framework that prioritises clarity over hierarchy, so internal titles may differ from market‑facing role titles. Scope, impact and level of the role are fully aligned and will be clearly discussed throughout the process.

Candidates progress from application and structured screening through thoughtfully designed interviews culminating in a formal offer and final pre-employment checks before joining the team.
Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement
