Who Salt Hospitality are:

Salt Hospitality Studio is a new hospitality business, launched as a joint venture between Smart Group and Broadwick. Salt is the exclusive catering and hospitality partner across Broadwick's 12 London venues, including Magazine London, Troxy, Exhibition White City, Control Room A, OXO2, Banking Hall, Landing Forty Two, Drumsheds, Landing Canary Wharf, Broadwick Studio, 26 Leake Street and The Pelligon. Salt exists to do things differently: to move beyond the idea of "in-house catering" and build a hospitality brand in its own right, with its own team, kitchens, identity and standards, built around exceptional food, beverage and service.

What we’re looking for:

As Event Planner, you will take ownership of the client journey once an event has been confirmed, transforming initial briefs into exceptional, high-performing events from handover through to delivery. Acting as the primary client contact, you will bring every brief to life with flair and precision, curating memorable experiences while driving strong commercial outcomes, building lasting relationships and maximising revenue through thoughtful, strategic upselling.

While Salt's Operations team leads delivery on the day, you remain the strategic lead for the client, guiding decisions, maintaining momentum, and ensuring every element aligns both creatively and commercially, from initial planning through to final delivery.

This is a genuine opportunity for someone who thrives on ownership and relationship-building to help shape Salt's Planning function as the brand’s portfolio and team continue to grow, delivering events that are as profitable as they are unforgettable.

  • Contribute to tastings, pitch presentations, photoshoots and social content that support Salt's brand positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Sales team to support proposals for high-value or creative catering briefs.
  • Drive post-confirmation upselling, introducing clients to enhanced catering options, premium products and experiential add-ons that maximise event value.
  • Promote and coordinate upselling of third-party services, such as floristry, furniture hire and entertainment, through Salt's trusted partner network.
  • Ensure a seamless handover between Sales and Planning, keeping clients fully informed and confident at every step.

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven experience planning and managing events within a fast-paced events, venue, catering or hospitality environment.
  • Experience managing the client journey from confirmed booking through to event delivery, acting as the primary point of contact throughout.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the confidence to advise, influence and guide clients while managing expectations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events, clients and competing priorities at the same time.
  • A strong commercial mindset, with experience identifying upselling opportunities and maximising event value while keeping the client experience front of mind.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Operations and Kitchen teams to turn event briefs into clear, deliverable plans.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a live event environment.
  • A good understanding of food, beverage and hospitality and how these elements come together to create an exceptional guest experience.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working within a premium catering, hospitality or venue environment.
  • Experience planning a varied mix of events, from corporate events and dinners to brand activations and larger-scale experiences.
