Key Health Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Nurse to join our growing Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at our CBD South location.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Research Nurses, Principal Investigators, GPs, sponsors, and CROs across a range of clinical trials.
You’ll play a hands-on role across the full trial lifecycle, from study start-up and participant recruitment through to clinical assessments, trial documentation, regulatory requirements, and study close-out.

About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Trial Manager, you’ll support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of multiple clinical trials.
You’ll combine clinical nursing skills with study coordination, participant care, documentation, and sponsor liaison. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to study start-up, recruitment strategies, monitoring visits, and continuous improvement across the CRU.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day clinical trial activities across multiple studies
- Support study start-up, site initiation, essential documents, and regulatory files
- Screen and assess potential participants against study eligibility criteria
- Coordinate participant recruitment, visits, procedures, and follow-up
- Deliver high-quality participant care throughout the trial
- Administer and monitor investigational therapies and devices in accordance with study protocols
- Monitor participants for adverse events and escalate and report issues appropriately
- Maintain accurate source documentation, essential documents, delegation logs, and training records
- Complete data entry and support query resolution across EDC and CTMS systems
- Assist with HREC submissions, amendments, safety reporting, audits, and monitoring visits
- Liaise with Principal Investigators, GPs, sponsors, CROs, CRAs, and research participants
- Support recruitment and retention strategies in line with approved study requirements
- Assist with study materials, informed consent documentation, and research tools
- Maintain trial equipment, consumables, investigational product, and accountability records
- Track participant reimbursements, invoicing, and other study administration
- Provide trial education and support to Key Health GPs
- Contribute to improving clinical trial processes and site operations
About You
You’re an experienced Registered Nurse who understands the demands of clinical research and takes pride in delivering high-quality participant care.
You’ll bring:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Minimum 2 years' clinical trials experience
- Current GCP certification
- Strong understanding of ICH-GCP and Australian clinical trial requirements
- Excellent clinical and patient care skills
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies and competing priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working with participants, investigators, sponsors, and CROs
- Sound computer skills and the ability to quickly learn CTMS, EDC, and eTMF systems
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative research team
- Experience with Phase I clinical trials and 5+ years' clinical trials experience will be highly regarded.
