Web Developer
Have you ever spun up a Minecraft server, battled it out in ARK, or built your base in Rust? Chances are, you've already played on a Shockbyte server. We support 60+ games and serve nearly 1 million customers worldwide, making us one of the largest game server hosting companies on the planet.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Victoria, Australia, Shockbyte was built on a simple belief: game server hosting should be easy. That mission drives everything we do, from the infrastructure we build to the products we ship. We're a team of passionate people, many of us gamers ourselves, working to make multiplayer gaming more accessible for players and studios everywhere.
About the Role
We're hiring a Web Developer to join our marketing team in Melbourne and own the development of the Shockbyte landing website, end to end.
This is the website that turns visitors into customers. You'll own everything from the moment someone lands on Shockbyte.com to the moment they've completed checkout and their order is handed off to the panel team. That includes the self-built checkout, WHMCS integrations, and every touchpoint in between that influences whether someone walks away with a Minecraft server or doesn't.
You'll be the sole developer on the website team, working closely with the website performance squad and embedded in our Melbourne marketing office. As one of the first technical hires in Melbourne, you'll help shape how technical work gets done in an office that's been primarily marketing focused. That's a real opportunity to set a standard and build something from the ground up.
If you care deeply about craft, take ownership without being asked, and want your work to directly drive the growth of one of the largest game server hosting platforms on the planet, this role is for you.

- Integrate and work with WHMCS to support a seamless purchasing flow for customers.
- Collaborate closely with the website performance squad and the broader marketing team to deliver improvements that move the needle.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve site performance, user experience, and conversion without waiting to be directed.
- Use AI tooling actively and thoughtfully to accelerate development and improve output quality.
- As one of the first technical hires in the Melbourne office, contribute to building strong technical practices within a marketing-led environment.
- Stay closely connected to product and engineering developments across the company to ensure the website stays current and aligned.
