DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead one of our software businesses within Tag Software Group As MD, you will own the P&L, set strategic direction, and drive sustained growth and profitability across the business.

Success will be measured by outcomes, raising operational excellence, scaling customer success, and building high-performing leadership teams that multiply impact. This position provides critical operational leadership to a company and potentially a portfolio of companies within a growing software vertical.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As Managing Director, you will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership to a software business or portfolio within the Tag Software Group family. You will develop and implement the business strategy across sales, marketing, R&D, customer service, professional services, and HR. Working with the Business Unit leadership team, you will set growth objectives, lead execution, and drive operational excellence.

You will be fully accountable for business performance, profitability, scalability, and long-term customer and employee success

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Achieve sustainable business growth by positioning the company strategically within its markets and aligning operations with long-term objectives

·       Deliver measurable improvements in scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence across the business

·       Drive consistent revenue growth through effective market expansion, cross-selling, and customer-focused strategies

·       Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty remain strong, supporting high retention and advocacy

·       Maintain clear, market-aligned product strategies and roadmaps that balance innovation with stability, supporting both new customer acquisition and retention

·       Foster an environment of innovation and technology adoption, challenging the status quo and leveraging emerging tools (including AI) to improve products, services, and operations

·       Own full P&L responsibility, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, financial discipline, and long-term resilience

·       Translate deep financial insight into strategic and operational decisions that maximize value creation

·       Meet or exceed key performance metrics including revenue, EBITDA, ROI, and customer retention

·       Optimize capital allocation and ensure predictable financial performance across monthly, quarterly, and annual periods

·       Build and sustain high-performing teams capable of delivering exceptional results across all functions

·       Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement that enhances both individual and organizational performance

·       Inspire, motivate, and develop teams to achieve ambitious milestones and exceed expectations

·       Lead confidently through change, simplifying complexity, removing roadblocks, and executing strategies that deliver long-term business success

·       Represent Tag Software Group leadership values by demonstrating humility, empathy, strategic judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset in all decisions

REQUIRED / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Proven ability to own a P&L and deliver sustained growth, profitability, and scalability

·       Track record of driving market expansion, launching new products, or transforming businesses

·       Strong financial acumen and ability to make value-creating decisions

·       Experience building and leading executive-level teams

·       Comfort with emerging technologies (including AI)

·       Exceptional communication and influence skills

·       Ability to simplify complexity, work through ambiguity, and make bold decisions

·       Resilience and adaptability under pressure

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Prior experience managing a B2B software company

·       Proven entrepreneurial mindset and pace-setter traits

·       Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree a plus)

·       8+ years of cross-functional leadership experience with P&L ownership

·       Broad financial understanding (P&L, BI tools, FP&A, financial documents)

·       Experience developing strategies for customer acquisition and market penetration

·       Ability to analyse and solve complex business problems

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
