Where you'll fit in 🏡

We're looking for a highly motivated individual, as an Accounts Payable Specialist to

join our fast paced and growing Finance team ensuring accurate and timely

processing of invoices and payments, whilst also dealing with internal and external

stakeholders. Kraken moves fast and changes fast, we are looking for an Accounts

Payable Specialist who is adaptable, proactive and comfortable challenging the

status quo rather than simply maintaining it.

Working closely within the AP team, you will be a key part of our Finance function,

contributing to robust financial reporting and controls in a collaborative team where

everyone’s contribution and opinions matters!

🚀 What you’ll own

  • Review and process invoices ensuring transactions are accurately and timely recorded

  • Prepare and make payments in a timely manner

  • Respond to, and action any internal and external stakeholder queries

  • Reviewing and resolve any ageing balances

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure P2P processes and controls are adhered to, and help identify where processes can be improved

  • Conduct recurring supplier and bank reconciliations

  • Support the rollout and ongoing use of our new and exciting Tech stack as we move away from legacy systems and processes

  • Opportunity to perform other ad hoc projects as assigned by the wider finance team

  • Support audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and evidence within agreed timeframes

  • Support with ad hoc general finance request supporting the wider business

🧠 What you’ll bring to the party

  • A degree in accounting, finance or equivalent with a 2:1 or finance or accounting experience

  • Experience in a large or scaling organisation, with a clear understanding what ‘’good’’ looks for Accounts Payable function

  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is essential

  • Experience with a P2P system such as Zip (or similar), plus business expense platforms such as Navan or Ramp

  • Technology savvy, with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables etc.), confidence with everyday tools like Gmail, Slack; any experience using AI tools to work smarter is a bonus

  • Technology sector experience is a plus but not essential, we'll train you on the business and what we do

  • Inquisitive and curious nature - we need someone who wants to ask why, not just follow instructions

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Quickly masters new software and digital tools

  • Confident in communication and problem solving with stakeholders of all levels

  • Thrives in a high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment where speed, accuracy, and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude are essential
