
Cleaning Supervisor
LOCATION: COVENTRY, CV7 9JU
SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri 0400-1000, 30 hours per week (flexibility required)
PAY RATE: £14.75 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
• You will undertake shift management duties, assigning jobs, checking completed work, auditing using the Element app, maintaining standards, completing return-to-work interviews, and managing holidays.
• Responsible for administrative and people management duties including absence management, record keeping, investigations, disciplinary support, document control, report writing, and professional communication.
• Responsible for the upkeep of cleaning cupboards and equipment, carrying out weekly checks and ensuring compliance with company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all work is completed to the required standard.
• Provide support, guidance and encouragement to team members.
• Maintain daily communication and handovers with the afternoon supervisor to ensure continuity of service and effective shift management.
• Report concerns and feedback to management.
• Assist with training, toolbox talks and meetings.
• Manage stock control and deliveries.
• Manage employee absence processes and return-to-work discussions.
• Produce reports, audits and performance information.
• Respond to emails and communicate professionally.
• Take accurate meeting notes and maintain records.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, welfare and performance meetings.
• Conduct workplace investigations and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain document control and compliance records.
• Complete administrative duties relating to holidays, absence, training and audits
• Cleaning experience is essential.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience writing professional emails and correspondence.
• Ability to produce accurate management reports.
• Experience managing employee absence and personnel records.
• Experience taking meeting notes and documenting outcomes.
• Understanding of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Experience supporting investigations and maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong document control and record management skills.
• Knowledge of COSHH, RIDDOR and health and safety requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and individuals.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
