We are seeking a Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer to help design and scale our next-generation cloud infrastructure and software delivery ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of core areas of our internal engineering platform, partnering closely with the wider engineering team. While our development teams focus entirely on building high-performance services, your mission is to design the "paved road" that allows them to deploy code to production safely, rapidly, and autonomously.

You will work cross-functionally with backend and product teams—providing CI/CD, architectural guidance, and support on shared projects—while enjoying high autonomy and low bureaucratic friction. Best of all, you will work primarily on greenfield services, building modern, clean infrastructure from scratch with minimal legacy debt.

 

What you'll do

• Greenfield Architecture: Architect, build, and operate secure, multi-account environments across AWS using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Flexible Container Management: Design and optimize container orchestration layers, standardizing on AWS ECS (Fargate) as the primary platform for lean microservices, and reserving AWS EKS (Kubernetes) for the specific cases where heavy workloads or complex scheduling require it.

• CI/CD Pipeline Design: Build unified, reusable, and secure automated delivery workflows using GitHub Actions and modern deployment tooling.

• Developer Enablement: Serve as the dedicated platform champion. Provide self-service infrastructure blueprints and automated guardrails so backend developers can own their deployment lifecycle without friction.

• Observability & Reliability: Establish robust telemetry, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to ensure system health and deep visibility into our greenfield applications.

• Security by Design: Embed automated security checks, IAM least-privilege models, and secure secrets management directly into the core platform layer.

 

Who you are

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with high production autonomy.

• AWS Expertise: Deep production-level knowledge of AWS core services (VPC, IAM, Networking, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda) and modern cloud design patterns.

• Container Mastery: Deep understanding of Docker and container runtimes, with strong hands-on experience in AWS ECS (Fargate) and working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) for specialized use cases.

• Infrastructure as Code: Advanced, clean proficiency with Terraform for managing modular and scalable cloud architectures.

• CI/CD Ecosystems: High proficiency with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and artifact management.

• Automation & Scripting: Strong capability to write maintainable code or tooling in Go, Python, or advanced Bash.

• Collaboration: High self-motivation, excellent English communication skills, and a

• strong remote-first work ethic.
