Think you have what it takes?
This role spans four Microsoft platform disciplines — SharePoint development, Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate is a versatile M365 engineer who can build production-grade intranet solutions, automate business workflows, deliver self-service analytics, and maintain the DevOps pipelines that keep it all running reliably.
How You’ll Contribute:
SharePoint Online Development
- Design, build, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, portals, and intranet experiences that serve KR's internal teams — including department hubs, document libraries, approval workflows, and knowledge bases.
- Develop custom SharePoint solutions using SPFx (SharePoint Framework) web parts, extensions, and application customizers — delivering rich, branded experiences that conform to the KR design system.
- Configure and manage SharePoint site architecture: site collections, hub sites, managed metadata, content types, taxonomy, permissions hierarchies, and information architecture.
- Build SharePoint-integrated workflows and forms using Power Automate and Power Apps — eliminating manual, email-based processes with structured, auditable digital workflows.
- Implement SharePoint as the firm's primary document management and collaboration platform — migrating content from legacy systems, configuring retention policies, and applying sensitivity labels via Microsoft Purview.
- Optimize SharePoint performance: page load times, search configuration, content query tuning, and CDN integration.
- Conduct regular governance reviews of SharePoint environments — identifying sprawl, inactive sites, overly permissive access, and opportunities to consolidate and rationalize.
Power Apps Development
- Design and build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps in Power Apps to replace manual workflows, paper-based processes, and disconnected spreadsheet-driven operations across KR's service lines.
- Develop responsive, mobile-friendly Power Apps that connect to SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and REST APIs — delivering cohesive user experiences across desktop and mobile.
- Implement complex business logic in Power Apps using Power Fx, custom connectors, and component libraries — following reusable, maintainable development patterns.
- Build and maintain Dataverse solutions for structured business data — defining tables, relationships, forms, views, business rules, and role-based security aligned to KR's data governance standards.
- Integrate Power Apps with Power Automate flows, SharePoint document libraries, and Azure-hosted APIs — creating end-to-end solutions that automate and digitize business processes.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination and post-deployment support for Power Apps — gathering feedback, resolving defects, and iterating toward adoption.
- Apply ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) practices for Power Platform solutions — using Azure DevOps pipelines and solution packaging for structured, repeatable deployments across Dev, Test, and Production environments
Power BI Development & Analytics
- Design and build Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable business intelligence to KR's leadership, advisory teams, and operational stakeholders — replacing Domo and legacy reporting tools as part of KR's BI modernization initiative.
- Develop semantic models (datasets) in Power BI Desktop using DAX — building robust, reusable measures, calculated columns, and hierarchies that serve as the single source of truth for each reporting domain.
- Connect Power BI to KR's data sources: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, SQL databases, SharePoint lists, and REST APIs — using DirectQuery, Import, and Composite models appropriately.
- Build and maintain Power BI dataflows for reusable, governed data transformation logic — applying Power Query (M) to cleanse, reshape, and standardize data before it reaches report layers.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) in Power BI — ensuring reports enforce data access rules that align with KR's client confidentiality and internal access control requirements.
- Publish and manage Power BI content in workspaces — configuring refresh schedules, gateway connections, deployment pipelines, and sensitivity labels for published reports.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, validate data accuracy, and iterate on dashboard design — translating business questions into well-structured, intuitive visuals.
- Document all semantic models, data source connections, and report logic — maintaining a living data dictionary that supports governance, audit, and onboarding of new developers
Azure DevOps Engineering
- Build, configure, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for M365 and Power Platform workloads — automating build, test, and deployment processes for SPFx solutions, Power Platform solutions, and supporting APIs.
- Manage Azure DevOps Boards for assigned initiatives — maintaining Epic/Feature/Story/Task hierarchy, sprint structure, board hygiene, and workflow automation rules in coordination with the PO/BA.
- Configure branch strategies, pull request policies, and code review gates in Azure Repos — enforcing quality standards and protecting production deployments from unreviewed changes.
- Implement automated testing stages in CI/CD pipelines — unit tests, integration tests, and deployment validation checks — reducing manual release verification effort.
- Maintain environment configurations across Dev, Test, and Production for all M365 and Power Platform workloads — using variable groups, service connections, and environment approvals.
- Monitor pipeline health and build metrics — proactively identifying flaky tests, slow builds, and deployment failures, and resolving them before they impact delivery velocity.
- Support the Azure Architect in extending Azure DevOps practices to other KR application workloads as the firm's DevSecOps maturity grows.
Governance, Security & Platform Health
- Apply Microsoft 365 governance standards across all deliverables — sensitivity labeling, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, conditional access, and information barriers where required.
- Implement Power Platform governance: environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), DLP connector policies, solution management, and usage analytics via Power Platform Admin Center.
- Collaborate with the IT Security team to ensure SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power BI solutions comply with KR's security standards — including Entra ID authentication, least-privilege access, and audit logging.
- Contribute to KR's M365 Center of Excellence (CoE) — building reusable component libraries, templates, coding standards, and developer guidance that raise the quality baseline across the team
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work directly from user stories and acceptance criteria provided by the Bengaluru PO/BA and US stakeholders — asking clarifying questions early and flagging platform constraints before sprint commitment.
- Participate in all sprint ceremonies — planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives — contributing estimates, surfacing blockers, and demoing completed solutions to business stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for every deliverable: solution architecture, data source mappings, deployment guides, and user guides — so solutions are maintainable and transferable.
- Mentor junior developers on the Bengaluru team on SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure DevOps best practices.
What Skills You’ll Bring:
Required
- 4+ years of hands-on development experience across Microsoft 365 / Power Platform technologies in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online development — SPFx web parts and extensions, site architecture, permissions management, and content management.
- Hands-on Power Apps development — Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, Power Fx, Dataverse, and custom connector integration.
- Power BI development experience — semantic model design, DAX, Power Query (M), RLS/OLS implementation, and report/dashboard delivery.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, and M365 security and compliance tooling.
- Experience with ALM practices for Power Platform: solution packaging, environment management, and DevOps-integrated deployments.
- Excellent written and spoken English — ability to communicate solution designs and delivery status to US-based non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
- Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), AZ-204 (Azure Developer), or MS-721 (SharePoint Developer).

- Knowledge of TypeScript and React for SPFx development.
- Exposure to the Power Platform CoE Starter Kit for governance monitoring and adoption tracking.
- Prior experience in professional services, financial services, or a regulated industry where data sensitivity and access governance are critical.
