How you will create an impact
AIG Property is a global leader in its field and deploys market leading capacity across a diverse range of Industries in both the Corporate and Middle Market segments. Reporting to the Commercial Property Underwriting Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Commercial Property product tower by underwriting a sustainable and profitable portfolio of Commercial Property business within corporate underwriting guidelines and within granted underwriting authority
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
The underwriting and acceptance of business within the Property portfolio, in accordance with underwriting principles, relevant authority, and risk & compliance procedures.
Contribute to financial objective targets by adhering to established strategic goals, objectives, and action plans.
Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and manage existing relationships.
Increase AIG market share through development, new distributions and improved relationships with key producers, clients, and industry groups.
Maintain accurate files, registers, and records to contribute to audit requirements, management reporting and timely service and policy issuance.
Assist in the implementation of business plans in accordance with product line direction, and corporate goals and strategies.
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous experience within a commercial insurance environment, including exposure to clients and/or intermediaries.
Strong knowledge of Property policy wordings.
Ability to interpret the modelled output, pricing, and line setting tools to make informed decisions on growth opportunities.
Demonstrate strong work ethic and be motivated to succeed and progress your career.
Strong team player with the ability to drive a culture of service excellence.
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
