The Opportunity

As a Senior IT Engineer, you will serve as a Tier 3 escalation point, providing technical support for local and global end-users while managing, monitoring, and securing our cloud, hybrid, and local infrastructure. You will own critical enterprise systems, automate workflows, and drive continuous improvement across IT operations and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Core Infrastructure & Active Directory

  • Administer, maintain, and monitor hybrid identity and global Active Directory environments (Azure AD/Entra ID, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, Sites & Services, and AD replication).
  • Manage, monitor, and provision local and cloud infrastructure services (AWS, WorkSpaces, EC2).

Microsoft 365 Tenant & Security Management

  • Maintain overall M365 tenant configuration, health, and security compliance.
  • Administer M365 workload services including Exchange Online (mail flow, retention), SharePoint Online (permissions, sharing), OneDrive, Teams (calling plans, policies), Intune (device deployment, Autopilot), and Defender/Purview (DLP, Conditional Access).
  • Develop PowerShell scripts and utilize Power Automate and Graph API for workflow automation and reporting.

Operations, Support & Engineering

  • Act as Tier 3 support and escalation point for help desk incidents covering local, remote, and global end-users.
  • Support and maintain endpoint operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and meeting room collaboration hardware (Logitech Tap, Poly).
  • Maintain ownership of enterprise applications (Jira, Confluence).
  • Own and lead infrastructure and software projects, adhering to configuration and change management policies.
  • Proactively create knowledge base documentation and identify opportunities for IT process improvements.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years managing Microsoft 365 enterprise environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune).
  • Deep technical expertise in hybrid Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity protection.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux Server environments.
  • Advanced scripting ability using PowerShell and Bash for system administration, reporting, and bulk operations.
  • Cloud proficiency in AWS services (EC2, WorkSpaces) and Azure platforms.
  • Solid understanding of compliance tools (DLP, eDiscovery, audit logs) and endpoint security management.

Personal Attributes & Soft Skills

  • Communication & Support: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and non-technical end-users.
  • Problem Solving & Proactivity: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and abstract problem-solving capabilities with a drive to continuously improve support processes.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability: Ability to collaborate across global teams, prioritize tasks under pressure, and manage changing workloads independently.
  • Fluent in oral and written English (additional languages a plus).
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required.
