Heavy Haul Truck Driver
Helical Pile Solutions (HPS) is seeking a Heavy Haul Driver to join their team. You must have good safety awareness, good communication & competent decision-making skills, and a desire to perform requested duties with a focus on safety and appropriate precautions. Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure a high level of safety
- Ensure a daily JHA, attend all safety meetings and daily tailboard meetings
- Perform equipment walk-around inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems, field repair minor fixes and communicate major issues with mechanics
- Maintain a clean drivers abstract
- Working for upwards of 21 days away from home
- Work overtime daily
- Adaptable to changing shifts and conditions
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license
- Clean drivers abstract - Minimum 5 years
- Minimum 5 years Experience
- Drive safely and in compliance with all company regulations
- Familiarity with E-logs (pre-trip, post-trip)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow safe working procedures
- Must have low bed truck experience
- Must have winch truck experience
- Must have heavy haul experience
- Must be able to load and unload equipment with little or no supervision on site
- Maintain a professional attitude
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
- Experience with mountainous terrain and rough ROW access
