Job Description - IT System Administrator
We’re looking for a tech-savvy IT System Administrator to join our team and provide IT system setup and technical support to our employees. The IT Administrator will be responsible for setting up IT system infrastructure, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, managing our wired and wireless office network infrastructure, and working with vendors and internal teams to ensure our IT systems are up-to-date and secure. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of information technology, including hardware, software, networking, and information security.
You Will
- Install, configure, and maintain both hardware and software systems including variety of SaaS based and internal applications, such as Slack, Google Workspace, AWS WorkSpaces, Github, JIRA, Confluence, VPN
- Troubleshoot, and resolve IT-related hardware and software issues reported by internal users, and manage the process of support ticketing
- Monitor network and system performance, including network security and security logs
- Be the IT liaison for new hires, assist to create accounts and set up hardware for new hires
- Train users on new hardware and software
- Support audio and video equipment, and printer in office
- Manage the life cycle and purchase forecast of corporate assets to ensure accurate inventory records
- Support working with shared space owner, support the network equipment setup and optimization in the office, troubleshoot issues with the network and ISP vendors
- Work with internal teams or vendors to resolve technical issues
- Support information security audits
You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking or other related disciplines.
- Good working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, information security, computer systems, hardware, and software
- Experience supporting hardware and software issues on Mac, and Windows, operating systems
- Working knowledge of networking protocols and setup, such as ethernet, wireless network, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Experience with modern SaaS tools and open-source software is desirable
- Strong written documentation skills (ticket notes, SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, user guides)
- Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external teams
- Good communication, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Basic AWS console/access support exposure will be advantageous
- Familiarity with JQL, Google Apps Script, APIs/webhooks/JSON preferred
- Experience with asset inventory / CMDB tools will be a bonus
- ITIL fundamentals (Incident / Request / Escalation / Problem Management) will be a plus point
