The Opportunity

As Account Executive you will:

  • Manage all promotional programs, ensuring the Trade Promotions system is maintained accurately

  • Manage the customer portals for both Foodstuffs North and South Islands, ensuring the data meets the customers’ requirements at all times

  • Analyse data from systems such as NielsenIQ and dunnhumby, identify opportunities to optimise promotional activity, and present recommendations.

  • Manage customer claims effectively and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with your marketing, category, field sales and supply chain peers to ensure seamless execution of account plans and accurate forecasting

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, through effective communication

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week), based at our head office in Avondale, Auckland.

  • Experience within the NZ FMCG industry in a support role on a Foodstuffs account. Field sales experience is advantageous

  • Due to the complex nature of our business, with continuous innovation and marketing activations, you’ll have experience with either the confectionery and/or biscuit categories

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to adapt your style as needed

  • The ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively

  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills

  • Demonstratable experience with data analysis in systems such as NielsenIQ, Quantium or dunnhumby

  • Very strong excel skills, experience using a trade promotions system, and PowerBI
