Contract Opportunity
Working Model: Remote, with travel to customer site required
We are seeking an experienced POS Programme Manager to lead the definition, mobilisation and delivery of a major Point of Sale (POS) programme.
You will provide day-to-day delivery control, dependency management and assurance across the full programme lifecycle, from RFP and supplier selection through mobilisation, pilot, rollout, cutover, hypercare and transition to business as usual.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme initiation during the RFP and supplier selection phase, identifying implementation dependencies, delivery risks, required workstreams and key decisions ahead of supplier appointment.
- Develop and maintain the integrated programme plan, covering workstreams, milestones, dependencies, resources and critical path.
- Support the RFP process by assessing vendor responses, proposed delivery approaches and commercial assumptions through an implementation and delivery lens.
- Coordinate delivery across business change, store readiness, technical configuration, data migration, testing, training, deployment, cutover, hypercare and business-as-usual transition.
- Provide clear, evidence-based reporting across programme workstreams, highlighting progress, risks, decisions required and potential impacts on cost, scope and timelines.
- Own and manage programme risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions and actions, escalating appropriately where required.
- Track performance against budget, timeline, scope, quality and benefits, providing accurate and timely reporting to the Programme Director and Programme Board.
- Establish clear vendor accountability by defining responsibilities, deliverables, acceptance criteria, escalation routes and governance expectations from selection through implementation.
- Ensure store teams and operational stakeholders are prepared for process changes, training, go-live, support and adoption.
- Lead readiness activity, including pilot planning, deployment scheduling, communications, training completion, support model readiness and go/no-go packs.
- Support benefits tracking and post-implementation reviews by capturing lessons learned, adoption data and operational performance indicators.
You will have responsibility for:
- Integrated delivery planning and programme controls
- Workstream coordination and dependency management
- Risk, issue, action, decision and change control
- Delivery coordination and performance tracking
- Vendor management and delivery accountability
- Operational, training and deployment readiness
- Day-to-day delivery performance and reporting accuracy
