As a Senior Product Designer, you will be fully accountable for the design strategy and execution of our core equities business line. You will lead the design of our central, longstanding product from initial concept to launch. In this high-visibility individual contributor role, you will collaborate with engineering, product management, and legal teams, communicate transparently with leadership, and help define our long-term product evolution. Your work will directly impact millions of customers, ensuring they have an exceptional experience when trading on Robinhood!
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
- Lead and execute the product design strategy, creating cohesive and rapid trading experiences for millions of users.
- Evaluate and redesign core trading surfaces, such as the order form and ladder chart, to improve interaction speed and simplify complex financial concepts.
- Collaborate directly with engineering, product management, design leadership, and legal partners to guide projects from initial concept to final production.
- Utilize and assess AI tools within your design process to optimize workflows and propose novel, user-friendly design solutions.
- Provide transparent project updates to leadership and help shape the long-term design standards across our broader trading team.
What you bring
- Proven experience designing complex user interfaces and large, multifaceted products, ideally within financial technology, trading platforms, or complex editing applications.
- Ability to operate independently, lead projects from zero to one, and deliver results against weekly milestones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across multiple teams and present design decisions clearly to leadership.
- A deep focus on interaction craft, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate how multiple product surfaces work together as a cohesive system.
- Openness to exploring and integrating emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance your design and prototyping processes.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
