Director of Delivery
About Civiteq
Civiteq is a specialist consultancy working at the intersection of technology, change and public services. We support organisations delivering complex digital transformation programmes, including major ERP implementations. We help them to design, deliver and embed change that genuinely works for people.
We're known for our collaborative culture, deep subject-matter expertise and practical, people-centred approach to delivery.
We're looking for an experienced and strategic delivery leader to shape the future of how Civiteq delivers work as we continue to grow. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines operational excellence, commercial awareness and a passion for building scalable delivery capability. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we deliver value for clients, develop our delivery leadership community and help define a modern, AI-enabled approach to consulting delivery.
Role Objective
As Director of Delivery, you will be responsible for defining and leading the delivery model that underpins Civiteq's client engagements. Your focus will be ensuring, across the organization, projects and programmes are delivered consistently, predictably and profitably, while maintaining exceptional client outcomes through senior-level sponsorship.
You'll establish the frameworks, standards and capabilities that enable successful delivery across a growing portfolio of work. Acting as a trusted senior leader, you'll provide clear insight into delivery performance, identify opportunities for improvement and help shape strategic decisions that support Civiteq's continued growth.
A key part of the role will be driving innovation in delivery practices, including the effective use of AI to improve productivity, quality and scalability across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide strategic leadership and intervention on complex or high-profile engagements.
- Contribute as a senior leader to the strategic direction and growth of the business.
- Define and evolve Civiteq's delivery operating model, ensuring consistent and scalable delivery across all client engagements.
- Lead the governance, reporting and assurance approach that provides visibility of delivery performance and risk.
- Create the conditions for predictable, high-quality delivery that supports both client success and commercial performance.
- Develop and embed delivery standards, methods and best practices across the business.
- Use delivery insights and performance data to drive continuous improvement and organisational learning.
- Identify and address risks early, ensuring issues are resolved before they impact client outcomes or business performance.
- Drive the adoption of AI-enabled delivery approaches that enhance productivity, quality and scalability.
- Lead, coach and develop senior delivery leaders, building a resilient and high-performing delivery community.
- Collaborate with colleagues across propositions, growth and delivery teams to ensure services remain practical, deliverable and commercially successful.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and delivery excellence.
- Significant experience leading delivery functions, portfolios or complex programmes within a consultancy, professional services or transformation environment.
- Proven track record of designing and improving delivery operating models, governance frameworks or delivery management approaches.
- Strong understanding of programme and project delivery across complex change and technology initiatives.
- Experience providing executive-level oversight of delivery performance, risk and client outcomes.
- Commercially astute, with an ability to balance client value, delivery quality and business performance.
- Strong leadership experience, including developing senior delivery professionals and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at senior and executive levels.
- Experience driving organisational improvement and embedding consistent ways of working at scale.
- An interest in, and understanding of, how AI can be applied to improve delivery effectiveness and business performance.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insight.
