
Director Strategic Operations (m/f/d)
Your mission
YOUR MISSION
As Director, Strategic Operations, you will act as a force multiplier for our CEO and executive team. You will turn strategy into clear priorities, decisions and measurable execution, while creating the governance and transparency that help our leadership focus on the opportunities with the greatest value for Matrix42.
Your key responsibilities would look like this:
- Own and continuously improve our leadership operating system and governance cadence across ExCo, XLT, leadership forums and strategic offsites.
- Drive agenda planning, decision tracking and follow-through, ensuring clear ownership and timely escalation of risks, bottlenecks and cross-functional dependencies.
- Lead the annual planning process together with Finance and functional leaders, translating company goals into coherent functional plans and measurable targets.
- Track strategic priorities and value creation initiatives across the organization, creating visibility on progress, milestones, dependencies and execution risks.
- Increase CEO effectiveness by preparing executive meetings, customer engagements, strategic discussions and leadership communications, and by coordinating resulting actions.
- Coordinate high-quality materials, reporting and follow-up for the Board of Directors and our private equity sponsor.
- Strengthen organizational alignment through clear executive messaging, visibility of company priorities and more efficient, AI-enabled ways of working.
Your profile
YOUR PROFILE
Must Have
- At least 7 years of experience in business operations, executive office, transformation, program management, consulting, Chief of Staff or a comparable leadership-adjacent role.
- A strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and working closely with executive leadership teams.
- Excellent planning, organizational and program management skills, combined with disciplined follow-through and a strong execution focus.
- Strategic judgement and the ability to understand business priorities quickly, connect strategy with execution and influence without formal authority.
- Analytical and financial fluency, including confidence working with financial models, KPI packages and board-level information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn complex information into clear, decision-ready executive materials and presentations.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, high ownership and sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience in a SaaS, software or technology environment.
- Experience with Board or private equity sponsor preparation, reporting and governance.
- Fluency in German.
- Experience improving leadership productivity through AI-enabled tools and efficient operating rhythms.
