About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team, responsible for fabricating and welding components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. This role demands proficiency in welding techniques, fabrication processes, and a strong understanding of safety and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to fabricate and weld components.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG, TIG, plasma cutters, oxy acetylene torch, grinders, guillotine, brake press and pillar drill.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to required specifications.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Welding techniques: Expert in complex welding techniques, including precision TIG welding, and advanced materials like aluminum.
- Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation: Expert in reading and applying advanced fabrication drawings, including isometric and 3D views.
- Fabrication and metalworking: Expert in precision fabrication, ensuring tight tolerances and complex assemblies
- Weld inspection and Quality Assurance: Proficient in dimensional checks and visual inspection to industry standards.
- Safety and equipment maintenance: Proficient in maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting, project leadership, and mentoring of others.
- Hourly rate of pay: £17.70
