About the team - Professional Services APAC

The Professional Services Team at GBG APAC is responsible for delivering solution consulting, implementation, and advisory services for GBG products and solutions across prospective, new, and existing customers throughout their customer lifecycle. The team provides technical and solution expertise, supports successful onboarding and adoption, and delivers strategic guidance to help customers maximise the value of GBG's products, solutions, and associated services.

The Role - Senior Implementation Consultant

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, the Senior Implementation Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation, onboarding, and activation of GBG's Identity Verification, Biometrics, Fraud, and Regulatory Compliance solutions for strategic accounts and enterprise-scale engagements.

This is a challenging and diverse role that requires working closely with customers to understand, validate, and translate business requirements into effective solution outcomes while providing expert guidance throughout the onboarding and implementation journey. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders across Sales, Solution Consulting, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure the successful deployment and adoption of GBG products and solutions.

As a trusted advisor and implementation lead, the Senior Implementation Consultant is accountable for delivering high-quality customer outcomes, driving implementation best practices, mitigating delivery risks, and supporting customers in maximising value from their investment in GBG's solutions.

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation, onboarding, activation, and deployment of GBG solutions for strategic and enterprise customers.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions to understand customer business, technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Design, configure, test, and validate solution implementations in alignment with customer objectives and GBG best practices prior to production deployment.
  • Act as the primary implementation lead for assigned engagements, providing expert guidance throughout the customer onboarding and implementation lifecycle.
  • Educate customers on GBG products and solutions, helping them achieve their business objectives and maximise value from their investment in GBG's capabilities.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders to support successful adoption, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on product architecture, solution design, configuration, APIs, SDKs, integrations, and reporting capabilities, supporting customers and internal stakeholders with complex technical and solution-related enquiries.
  • Support customer reporting and analytics requirements, including solution performance reviews, pass rate analysis, transaction trend analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve implementation and delivery processes for new and enhanced product releases, ensuring consistent adoption across the Professional Services team.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, project schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and action registers to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across customers and internal teams, including Sales, Presales, Product, Engineering, Support, and Operations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and project governance activities, providing clear communication on project status, milestones, risks, issues, and next steps.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, and blockers to minimise delivery impacts and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production readiness activities, go-live planning, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Mentor and support consultants by sharing product knowledge, implementation expertise, and delivery best practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Head of Professional Services.

Skills we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex software, SaaS, identity, fraud, or compliance-related implementations for enterprise customers.
  • Understanding of web services and system integrations, including REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, SDKs, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Experience using integration, testing, and troubleshooting tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Splunk, Coralogix or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Identity Verification, Biometrics, Fraud Prevention, Digital Identity, KYC, KYB, and AML solutions would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong customer engagement, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business, technical, and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead customer workshops, requirements discovery sessions, solution design discussions, product demonstrations, and training engagements.
  • Experience planning and coordinating customer implementations, including project scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, dependency tracking, and delivery governance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality customer-facing and internal documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, process documentation, and technical guides.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify key issues, interpret data, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Ability to conduct technical research, evaluate solution options, and apply industry best practices to support successful customer outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business requirements, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with customers at all levels, from technical teams and solution architects through to project managers, business leaders, and senior executives.
  • Experience supporting reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making, including performance analysis and customer solution optimisation.
  • Banking, financial services, fintech, or regulated industry experience would be desirable.
