Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy
Freshworks is looking for a Senior Manager to join our global Corporate Strategy team and help shape some of the most important decisions facing the company.
This is a high-impact strategy role for someone who loves solving complex business problems but wants to get closer to the decisions, the executives making them, and the outcomes that follow.
You'll work directly with Strategy leadership and senior executives on questions spanning AI, product strategy, pricing and monetization, GTM growth, market expansion, and strategic investments. One project might involve evaluating how we monetize a new AI capability; another could focus on where Freshworks should invest to accelerate growth or how we evolve our GTM strategy.
The team operates with the rigor of a top strategy consulting firm, but with one important difference: we don't stop at the recommendation. We partner across Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to help turn strategy into action and see the impact of the decisions we help shape.
What You'll Do
- Own high-priority strategic initiatives from initial question through recommendation and execution.
- Tackle ambiguous company-level problems, develop hypotheses, and create the analytical frameworks needed to answer them.
- Evaluate growth opportunities across AI, product, GTM, pricing, market expansion, and strategic investments.
- Build business cases, financial models, market assessments, and scenario analyses that inform investment and resource allocation decisions.
- Partner directly with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to shape decisions and drive alignment.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans and stay close to execution to understand what is working and where we need to adjust.
- Develop executive and Board-level narratives that distill complex analysis into clear choices and recommendations.
- Bring an outside-in perspective on the SaaS and AI landscape and help identify the strategic questions Freshworks should be asking next.
What We're Looking For
- 4-6+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a combination of consulting and in-house strategy experience
- Experience solving growth, product, GTM, pricing, market entry, or investment strategy problems
- Exposure to SaaS, enterprise software, or technology businesses strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to turn data into business insights and recommendations
- Executive-level communication skills and the ability to influence without authority
- Comfortable moving between high-level strategy and hands-on analysis
- Curious, low ego, and energized by ambiguity
- Most importantly, you want to own the outcome, not just deliver the recommendation
Why This Role
Freshworks is at an exciting point in its evolution. We're scaling a global SaaS business, expanding our enterprise presence, and navigating how AI changes the products we build, how we monetize them, and how our customers work.
For someone coming from consulting, this is an opportunity to keep the parts of the job you love—complex problems, executive exposure, analytical rigor, and variety—while gaining something that's harder to get as an advisor: ownership.
You'll see the decisions get made. You'll work alongside the teams responsible for executing them. And you'll have the opportunity to see whether the strategy actually worked.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role with exposure to senior executives and the Board, and an opportunity to build a deep understanding of how a global SaaS company operates.
Please note: This is a hybrid role that will be based in San Mateo, CA, and requires an in-office presence three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
The annual base salary range for this position is $210,000 - $260,000 USD. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.
Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available. Freshworks offers multiple options for dental, medical, vision, disability and life insurances. Equity + ESPP, flexible PTO, flexible spending, commuter benefits and wellness benefits are also offered. Freshworks also offers adoption and parental leave benefits.
At Freshworks, we have fostered an environment that enables everyone to find their true potential, purpose, and passion, welcoming colleagues of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and ethnicities. We are committed to providing equal opportunity and believe that diversity in the workplace creates a more vibrant, richer environment that boosts the goals of our employees, communities, and business. Fresh vision. Real impact. Come build it with us.
