Senior Research Consultant
Join Neudata - Senior Research Consultant
Introducing Neudata:
Neudata is the global leader in alternative and market data intelligence, helping investors, hedge funds and corporates discover, evaluate, and use data to make smarter decisions. Our independence is what really sets us apart - we provide objective, unbiased intelligence that our clients trust and depend on.
Our suite of products and services is built around client needs: Scout for alternative data sourcing and ESG insights, Ranger for traditional data intelligence, plus expert data monetisation consultancy and industry events. With offices in London, New York, and Shanghai and a team of 100 people, we combine global reach with a small-team culture where every individual can make an impact.
The Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Research Consultant to join Neudata’s Research team and support our consulting clients by owning substantial pieces of each engagement – research, synthesis, coordination and client management. Sitting within Research and reporting to the Head of Research, this is a dedicated, hands-on role for someone who can own consulting projects end to end: scoping the work, structuring the analysis, writing the deliverables, and presenting the findings to clients directly.
This is a senior, client-facing role. You will regularly represent Neudata in front of senior stakeholders, handling detailed and unplanned questions as they arise, and producing polished, client-ready written analysis as a core part of the job. We’re looking for someone who can operate independently, exercise judgment, deal with ambiguity, and remain composed with demanding clients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Own consulting engagements from kick-off through delivery, managing scope, timelines and quality, and acting as the day-to-day engagement lead for client communication and expectations
Structure project workstreams and personally produce the underlying analysis and written deliverables across data product strategy, pricing, go-to-market planning and buyer validation
Lead client meetings, working sessions and delivery readouts, fielding detailed questions from senior client stakeholders directly and translating complex data, market and technical input into clear, actionable recommendations
Plan and manage multiple concurrent engagements against agreed timelines and scope, proactively identifying and managing risks, dependencies and resourcing needs
Draw on the wider Research team for specialist input where useful, while owning the core deliverable and client-facing work end to end
Work closely with the Consulting practice on scoping, pricing input and follow-on opportunities, while reporting day to day within Research
Develop deep expertise in data monetisation, external data markets and buyer expectations, and contribute to internal frameworks, templates and client-facing insight
What You’ll Bring:
Proven, relevant experience in consulting, strategy, alternative data, analytics or a related advisory role - we're open on level of experience, from a few years' track record through to seasoned practitioners
Demonstrated project management experience, ideally leading complete engagements rather than individual workstreams
A confident, polished, client-facing operator, comfortable presenting to and fielding scrutiny from senior stakeholders independently
Strong written skills and a track record of personally producing, not just reviewing, high-quality client deliverables
An independent working style, with a track record of owning outcomes and supporting the wider team
Knowledge of data products, data strategy or data monetisation concepts
Our Benefits & Perks:
25 days’ annual leave, plus an extra day for each year of service (up to 30 days), alongside one paid volunteering day and two paid study days per year
Hybrid and flexible working, including working from anywhere for up to 10 working days per year from a location of your choosing
Private medical insurance via Vitality (including dental, optical, and hearing)
Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental policies
Enhanced pension scheme via NEST
Key Details:
Location: London (Moorgate) with hybrid working. Given the global scope of the role, quarterly travel to international teams is anticipated
Salary: Competitive base salary and incentive package
Start Date: ASAP
Line Manager: Founder & CEO
Recruitment Process:
Initial screening call with our Talent Acquisition Manager
Competency interview with our Head of Research
Meetings with key Neudata stakeholders
Final stage presentation
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial screening call with our Talent Acquisition Manager.
Candidates who may require visa sponsorship should discuss this with the hiring manager during the interview process. Further information on Skilled Worker sponsorship can be found here.
