We're looking for a Package Engineer to play a key role in bringing new products to market by developing packaging solutions that balance quality, functionality, cost, and sustainability.As a Package Engineer, you'll lead the development and commercialization of packaging solutions for new and existing products across the region. Working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and external suppliers, you'll help ensure products are launched on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll identify and resolve packaging challenges, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to Avon's sustainability goals through innovative packaging solutions. You'll also champion best practices in quality, safety, and manufacturing excellence while helping to deliver value engineering opportunities across the business.
Key responsibilities:
Developing packaging specifications that meet design, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
Leading packaging activities for new product development and commercialization projects.
Collaborating with regional and local stakeholders across R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and external suppliers.
Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving packaging development challenges
Supporting packaging sustainability initiatives and corporate responsibility goals.
Driving value engineering projects that improve efficiency and generate savings.
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and manufacturing standards.
What We're Looking For
A degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Around 5 years of experience within FMCG, Supply Chain, Packaging, R&D, or another relevant technical or commercial environment.
Experience in product and packaging development.
Strong project management skills with the ability to work effectively in matrix teams and with external partners.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient English skills
Experience working in a global or international business environment
Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, new product development, and packaging supply networks would be advantageous.
