Rope Access Level 3 Welder
To carry out welding, fabrication, inspection support, maintenance, and repair works at height or in difficult-to-access areas using industrial rope access techniques, while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, repair, and modification works using rope access techniques.
- Carry out work at height, including access to structures, vessels, platforms, pipework, and other difficult-to-reach areas.
- Perform visual inspection of welded joints and fabricated components.
- Read and interpret drawings, welding procedures, work instructions, and job specifications.
- Prepare surfaces and materials prior to welding, including grinding, cleaning, cutting, and fit-up.
- Perform welding using appropriate welding processes.
- Install, inspect, and maintain temporary work positioning and access arrangements in accordance with approved rope access procedures.
- Ensure welding equipment, tools, ropes, harnesses, and associated equipment are inspected and fit for use before commencing work.
- Work closely with supervisors, rope access technicians, welders, and other trades to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, JSA/JHA, and permit-to-work requirements as applicable.
- Maintain good housekeeping at the worksite and ensure tools and materials are properly secured when working at height.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Comply with company HSE policies, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Complete work records, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
