About us

Trexo Robotics is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots. Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and it allows kids to walk, in many cases, for the first time in their lives. The device is currently being used by hundreds of families and the best hospitals across North America.

We are constantly working towards building mobility solutions for all. At Trexo Robotics, you will find a flat organization where you can work with highly optimistic, low ego, and exceptionally talented individuals who look forward to solving hard problems.

About the job

We are growing our presence in the UK and are looking for a Clinical Specialist to join our team as our second UK-based hire. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for a clinician who is passionate about paediatric rehabilitation, technology and making a meaningful difference for children and their families.

As a Clinical Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for families, clinicians and healthcare partners using Trexo. You will lead customer onboarding and training, provide ongoing clinical and technical support, and deliver hands-on device trials at roadshows, conferences and other events.

The role involves significant travel, primarily across the UK and occasionally elsewhere in Europe. We expect travel to account for approx. 75% of your working time. Occasional weekend work may be required for customer trials, roadshows or events. We will provide reasonable notice wherever possible.

What you'll do

  • Lead onboarding and hands-on training for new families and clinical partners receiving their Trexo devices.

  • Provide ongoing support to customers through regular check-ins, helping them use the device effectively and work towards meaningful goals.

  • Conduct hands-on Trexo trials with children and families at roadshows, conferences and other events across the UK and Europe.

  • Address daily customer queries via dedicated chat groups and manage support tickets.

  • Independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot the Trexo device, including basic technical, mechanical, and software checks.

  • Work with families and clinicians to establish meaningful goals and monitor relevant measures and progress.

  • Gather customer feedback to share with engineering and product teams to drive continuous product improvement.

  • Work closely with our global Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.

  • Represent Trexo Robotics at clinical events, conferences and community-based activities.

About you

We are looking for a tech-savvy Physiotherapist who is comfortable working independently with advanced robotic equipment. You bring clinical credibility, strong emotional intelligence, and a practical approach to hands-on problem-solving. You thrive in community-based environments and enjoy traveling to work directly with children and their families.

You are practical and curious. You love asking 'why' multiple times until you understand something from first principles, and you thrive in unknown situations where you can apply logical reasoning, find solutions, and lead.

Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to use technology to improve mobility and quality of life for children.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience working as a Physiotherapist or in a closely related clinical role.

  • Qualification as a Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration (or eligible to practice as a UK-licensed PT).

  • Clinical experience at a level broadly equivalent to NHS Band 6, or equivalent experience in private or independent practice.

  • Experience working in paediatric physiotherapy, ideally in a community-based setting.

  • Tech-savvy with the confidence to independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot technical equipment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent empathy and patience.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, with approximately 75% travel across the UK and occasional travel elsewhere in Europe.

  • Ability to safely lift and handle equipment weighing up to 27 kg (60 lb).

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working within the NHS.

  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

  • Experience providing virtual care, telehealth or remote clinical support.

  • Familiarity with UK paediatric funding pathways, such as NHS Continuing Healthcare, Personal Health Budgets, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or charitable funding.

  • Experience working with children with complex mobility needs, neurological conditions or physical disabilities.

  • Experience with assistive technology, rehabilitation technology, robotics, orthotics or other mobility devices.

  • Fluency in an additional European language, particularly German or French.

  • Experience using tools such as Salesforce or Airtable.

  • Employee stock options

  • Home Office Setup allowance

  • Car allowance

  • Private health insurance

Interview process

  • Screening (30 mins)

  • Hiring Manager conversation (60 mins)

  • Team and founder conversations (30 mins each)

  • Reference and background check
