
Brand Designer
The Asana Marketing team is responsible for fueling business growth and building a brand customers love. We create campaigns and content to attract new accounts and inspire current ones to grow with us. As our Brand Designer, you will be the primary steward of Asana's visual identity, owning our brand design systems, guidelines, and self-serve templates across the full range of brand expressions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define how the brand looks and feels while driving AI-enabled workflows to scale our creative impact.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve
- Own and evolve Asana's brand design system, including visual identity guidelines, component libraries, and self-serve templates that scale across the organization.
- Define and maintain brand standards across a broad range of surfaces: product UI, photography, illustration, and iconography.
- Lead brand design for major marketing initiatives, including product launches, campaign creative, and go-to-market materials.
- Design first-call decks, sales enablement materials, and executive presentations that reflect a strong and consistent brand voice.
- Contribute to video and content projects through storyboarding, art direction, and visual concepting.
- Build and maintain scalable design frameworks and documentation that allow cross-functional teams to execute within brand standards without compromising quality.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure brand coherence across every touchpoint.
- Drive AI-enabled design workflows, including photography automation in Figma Weave and other AI tools that improve speed and creative range.
- Explore and pioneer new uses of AI across concepting, production, and workflow efficiency—and share what you learn with the team.
- Give and receive direct, constructive design feedback through critique.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with clarity, urgency, and strong craft throughout.
About you
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
- 5–8 years of professional brand design experience, ideally in-house at a technology company or at an agency working on tech brands.
- Deep expertise in brand identity and design systems—building and managing visual identity guidelines, component libraries, and scalable templates.
- Broad design range across identity, layout, typography, photography direction, illustration systems, and motion.
- Experience contributing design to marketing materials, including product launches, sales decks, video storyboards, and integrated campaigns.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including component and library management, alongside proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing and how brand design drives business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead large, cross-functional projects from concept through execution with minimal oversight.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale and advocate persuasively for your work.
- Track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders across functions.

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $146,000 -$166,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
