Guide to what a Project Manager does at Cybit
As a Project Manager you’ll join our PMO Team and be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of customer projects across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security and managed services technologies.
You'll act as the central point of contact for customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the high standards our customers expect. We're looking for someone with excellent communication, organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
What are some of the key tasks a Project Manager is responsible for?
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of customer projects from initiation through to completion.
- Creating and maintaining project plans, timelines, risk logs and status reports.
- Coordinating internal technical resources and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
- Leading project kick-off meetings and regular progress reviews with customers.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, scope and resource allocation.
- Identifying, tracking and mitigating project risks and issues.
- Ensuring clear communication between customers, technical teams and stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and escalating concerns where required.
- Supporting project governance and ensuring compliance with internal delivery processes.
- Facilitating successful project handovers into operational support teams.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Supporting with Project related procurement where required.
We are looking for someone with
Essential
- Experience managing end-to-end customer projects from initiation through to completion.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Experience creating and managing project documentation, including project plans, status updates, risk logs and governance reports.
- Proven ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead customer meetings and project reviews.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and resources effectively.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope and delivery outcomes.
- Experience working within an MSP, technology services or IT environment, ideally delivering infrastructure, cloud, networking, security or managed services projects.

- PRINCE2 Foundation / Practitioner
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
