
Project Manager - PL#32040

The Project Manager will work with multi-disciplinary teams overseeing project staff and sub-contractors, providing guidance to ensure each project meets operational standards. This includes developing a detailed scope of work, budget and schedule, conducting risk management assessments and maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, milestones, and deliverables.
- Review and provide oversight of engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements, applicable standards, and client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors to coordinate activities and ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and materials to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, progress updates, cost reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and allocate project resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to support project objectives.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing and implementing mitigation and contingency strategies as required.
- Conduct project close-outs, evaluations, and lessons-learned reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance the delivery of future projects.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the mining, construction, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
- Proven experience managing projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and close-out.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and resource management.
- Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project risk management, quality control, and change management.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
