Clinical Orthotist - Christchurch
At Peke Waihanga, we work alongside people of all ages to provide high-quality prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation services across Aotearoa New Zealand. We're looking for a qualified Orthotist to join our Christchurch team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.
Based in our purpose built Christchurch Centre, you'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred orthotic care across a diverse caseload. This is an opportunity to work in a modern clinical environment, contribute to service improvement, and continue developing your clinical expertise alongside experienced colleagues.
Description
As an Orthotist, you will:
- Assess, prescribe, design and fit a wide range of orthotic devices.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed care focused on achieving the best outcomes for patients.
- Work closely with patients, whānau and other health professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
- Manage your own caseload while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Support service development and innovation within the orthotics service.
Skills And Experiences
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A recognised qualification in Orthotics and eligibility for registration in New Zealand.
- Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A patient-centred approach and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience across a broad orthotic caseload would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from early-career clinicians
