What We're Looking For: Our ideal candidate is a seasoned photographer with a minimum of two years' experience in a newspaper or similar online platform. You'll need a diverse portfolio showcasing your versatility across various genres, from spot news to sports, portraits to feature stories, and everything in between. Proficiency in Photoshop, PhotoMechanic, and video editing software is a must, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role, which includes some night and weekend assignments.
What You'll Do: Joining our veteran team of three photographers, you'll play a vital role in shaping our news coverage. Beyond capturing captivating images, you'll collaborate closely with our editorial team, pitching story ideas, cultivating sources, and contributing to long-term projects. Your work will not only inform but also inspire, driving home the emotions and impact of each story you tell.
