General Manager – Express Courier, Singapore & APAC / Australia
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager - Express Courier, Singapore & APAC / Australia to lead, develop and grow our Express Courier business in Singapore, with responsibility for expanding into selected markets across APAC and Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Express Courier B2B and B2C markets in Singapore - acquiring new customers, developing strategic accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing a strong customer and business network. Over time, the General Manager will identify new and strategically important markets across Asia and Australia, develop market-entry strategies, and establish the required customer and business network to support the company's regional expansion. This is a senior commercial leadership role focused exclusively on Express Courier services, covering both B2B and B2C Express Courier business. The General Manager will have overall responsibility for achieving a minimum annual business target of SGD 3 million.
Key responsibilities- Lead the development and expansion of the company's Express Courier B2B and B2C business in Singapore
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve the annual business target of SGD 3 million
- Take overall ownership of business development, customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Identify and acquire new B2B and B2C customers, and develop a strong pipeline of corporate, SME and consumer accounts
- Develop and manage strategic customer relationships to increase retention and revenue
- Lead and drive the overall sales strategy for the Express Courier business in Singapore
- Lead the sales and business development team provided by the company, setting clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations
- Identify new and strategically important markets across Asia and Australia for future Express Courier expansion
- Develop market-entry and expansion strategies for selected APAC and Australian markets
- Monitor revenue, gross profit, operating costs and overall business profitability
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in Express Courier, Express Delivery, B2B/B2C Courier, last-mile express or a closely related industry
- Proven track record in senior sales, business development or commercial management within the Express Courier industry
- Strong understanding of B2B and B2C Express Courier markets and customer requirements
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop new business and generate significant revenue, with a proven track record of achieving substantial sales or revenue targets
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop pricing strategies, negotiate commercial agreements and manage profitability
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills
- Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to build and develop an Express Courier business from the ground up
- A BSc or BBA degree is preferred
