About the role:
The Associate Service Technician 24/7 position is a vital role that significantly contributes to the continuity and efficiency of our Data Centre Operations teams. The Associate Service Technician role is designed to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and to ensure the continued customer satisfaction and data centre uptime we are known for. This role encompasses supporting customers, maintenance and monitoring activities, and is a key role in CDC’s career pathways initiative with investment in learning and development opportunities, as we empower our teams for future growth.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works.
  • Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client’s or business operations.
  • Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions.
  • Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly.
  • Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC’s processes and procedures.
  • Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations.

Whether you’ve recently completed your trade or you’re someone without a trade qualification but motivated to learn and grow, this role offers an excellent entry point into CDC’s rapid expansion. You will also bring:

  • Experience working in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, trades, IT, industrial facilities, or related fields.
  • Confidence collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, subject matter experts, and external service providers.
  • The ability to identify risks and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
