As a casual nurse, you'll have the opportunity to accept shifts as they become available across our community services, supporting people to remain safe, well, and independent in their own homes.

Shifts are offered as service needs arise, including leave cover, planned absences, peak demand periods, and additional community support requirements.
Your scope of care will include:
- Medication management & administration
- Diabetes management
- Catheter cares
- Complex and non-complex wound care, including NPWT & compression therapy
- Tunnel drain management
- Palliative and end of life care (including syringe drivers)
Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | Skills and experience
- Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum two years’ post-registration nursing experience preferred, with strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience in long-term conditions, aged residential care, medical nursing, community nursing, or district nursing is highly desirable
- Experience or willingness to upskill in wound care, medication management, diabetes care, catheter care, palliative care, and end-of-life support
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to work with autonomy, sound judgement, and confidence using digital tools, apps, and computer systems
- A current full New Zealand driver’s license is essential
