The Billing module processes consumption, pricing, and account data to schedule, calculate, and generate accurate, timely, and compliant invoices throughout a customer’s lifecycle. The module automatically manages billing cycles, generates bills, handles corrections, and produces the data that feeds invoices, billing-related communications, payment schedules, and downstream financial reporting, while powering customer and agent UIs.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, full-stack product role — you'll work across the whole domain and alongside PMs from other domains and from the global billing teams to ensure the overall billing&nbsp; journey from meter to bill meets the requirements of French clients.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Collaborate intensely with clients and in-country experts</strong> to understand their unique needs and requirements, negotiate scope, and build a roadmap.</li> <li><strong>Deep dive into French energy market regulations</strong>, translating complex compliance needs into detailed product specifications for the billing system.</li> <li><strong>Define and manage detailed product requirements </strong>for features related to country-specific needs from getting a read to generating a bill (meter reading protocols, invoice formats, taxation rules, payment methods, and regulatory reporting).</li> <li><strong>Work closely with engineering, UX, and QA teams </strong>to ensure the successful implementation and testing of localised billing functionalities.</li> <li><strong>Act as the go-to expert </strong>for global teams on specific French market nuances related to energy billing and customer journeys.</li> <li><strong>Continuously monitor changes in French energy legislation</strong> and market practices, proactively adapting the product roadmap to maintain compliance and competitiveness.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>About You<br><br>Ideally you'll have/be:<br></strong></h4> <ul> <li><strong>Proven experience as a Product Manager, or equivalent role in software companies</strong>, with a strong track record of successfully localising complex software products for international markets</li> <li><strong>Solid understanding of the end-to-end B2C billing lifecycle</strong> including meter data, tariffs, invoicing, and debt management.</li> <li><strong>A track record in regulated markets where billing complexity matters, </strong>energy, telecoms, financial services, or similar. Familiarity with the French energy market (ENGIE, CRE, switching, tariff structures) is advantageous.</li> <li><strong>Exceptional ability to translate abstract regulatory text or client requirements into clear, actionable, outcome-driven requirements for development teams.</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams</strong> (engineering, design, legal, operations, client success) to deliver localised solutions.</li> <li><strong>Excellent stakeholder and client management skills</strong>, able to lead conversations across requirements, scope, expectations, and roadmap alignment, and communicate technical &amp; market complexity clearly to varied audiences.</li> <li><strong>Proficiency in AI tools throughout all stages of the product lifecycle — from discovery and ideation to delivery and iteration.Fluent in French and English</strong> — our platform and many of our teams operate in English, so you move easily between both.</li> <li><strong>A builder's mindset</strong> — you're autonomous, learn fast, and aren't afraid to go deep.
