We currently have a vacancy open for a Civil Engineer who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at either our Braintree or London offices, subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of Civil Engineering services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop technical designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Prepare calculations and hydraulic models with senior support
  • Inspect infrastructure and write follow-up technical reports
  • Draft documentation and project drawings for final issue
  • Attend meetings including pre-contract visits and client briefs
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in civil engineering design in a consultancy environment.
  • Understanding of drainage design, highways design, and infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, with Civil 3D experience desirable.
  • Awareness of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and surface water management principles.
  • Ability to prepare technical drawings, calculations, and reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Keen to develop professionally and progress towards ICE membership and chartership.

This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.

Holiday: 25 days (pro-rata’d) plus bank holidays.
