About the role:
We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced HR Lead to own HR operations for our Netherlands team and support our broader EMEA employee population.
This is a broad HR role covering the full employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding through payroll, benefits, immigration, employee relations, and offboarding. You’ll also manage our relationships with EOR providers and help make sure our HR processes work well across the different countries where we have employees.
But this role is about more than keeping HR processes moving. You’ll be a big part of the employee experience in Eindhoven, helping bring people together, driving engagement, organizing activities, and making the office a place people actually want to be. You’ll have plenty of room to bring your own ideas and make things happen.
You’ll work closely with our global HR team, managers, employees, and external partners.
We’re a growing startup, so this is a role for someone who is comfortable working independently, solving problems, and getting involved in whatever needs to get done.
Responsibilities include:
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Own day-to-day HR operations for Netherlands and EMEA employees, including onboarding, employee changes, leave, transfers, and offboarding.
- Manage Dutch payroll, pension, benefits, and absence administration, partnering with external payroll, accounting, and benefits providers.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, employee records, and documentation in accordance with confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, supporting HR questions, employee relations, and Dutch sickness/return-to-work processes.
- Manage EOR providers and employees across EMEA, including payroll coordination, employee changes, invoices, and local employment requirements.
- Coordinate immigration and work authorization, including visa/work permit applications, renewals, documentation, and external immigration providers.
Employee Experience & Office Operations
- Lead employee engagement and workplace experience for our Eindhoven office, creating initiatives that strengthen connection and culture.
- Plan team events, celebrations, lunches, beer bashes, and other activities throughout the year.
- Manage day-to-day office needs, including facilities, supplies, vendors, and building management.
- Partner with employees and managers to identify opportunities to improve the workplace experience, morale, and engagement.
Global HR Partnership
- Partner with the global HR team to implement HR programs consistently while accounting for local requirements across NL and EMEA.
- Bring local expertise to global initiatives and continuously improve HR processes and the employee experience.
- Take ownership of HR projects from start to finish and support evolving priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.
- 5+ years of HR operations, HR generalist, HR lead, or similar experience, ideally in an international or fast-growing company.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch HR operations and employment practices, including experience coordinating Dutch payroll with external providers.
- Experience managing EOR employees/providers across multiple countries; immigration and work authorization experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable supporting employees across EMEA and working with local providers and advisors.
- Based in the Netherlands or Belgium and able to work from our Eindhoven office 4 days per week.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable independently managing a broad range of HR responsibilities.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Proactive and people-oriented, with a genuine interest in employee engagement, culture, and bringing people together.
- Comfortable taking ownership and adapting quickly in a fast-moving, international startup environment
- Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, builds trust, and creates a positive employee experience.
- We offer a competitive salary and equity package
- Pension with company contribution
- A week off between Christmas and New Year's Day
- Commuter benefits
- 40 hours of Volunteer Time Off/year
- The opportunity to redefine cloud computing in a friendly, collaborative work environment.
